Chris has an extensive background in sports business, having previously spent eight years working across the sports analytics and technology sectors. Chris joined Sportsology Group in 2020 as Director of Research before establishing the company’s M&A business. Through his role Chris works closely with sophisticated investors and major clubs across European football, leading sporting due diligence services for investor groups and delivering sell-side support services for team owners. Chris is based in the London office.

The current Director of the M&A Research Centre at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass), Scott also teaches Mergers & Acquisitions in the MBA and MSc programs and has taught ‘Business Intelligence and Social Networking’ in the MBA program and ‘Corporate Finance’ in the executive education programs. He has also been a visiting lecturer at Imperial College (London) and Oxford University and has been an accredited executive coach. His latest book - The Deal Paradox - explores the relationship between humans and machines in the M&A process.

He also contributes to policy debate, advises venture capital groups, and is a Director for Sheffield Wednesday Football Club's Community Programme. Rob is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
